I spent the morning emailing potential clients – I was wearing my PJ’s and proud of it!!
Then I played with my girls for a little bit…We played on the swings for a little while – but it was cold out there! (I must be a true Arizonan…I’m complaining on windy days)
Then designed an invitation.
I got a call from a fabulous lady in Chicago – she’s planning a destination wedding here to Phoenix. It was nice to be able to give her some info but also it reminded me why I love living here.
I love Arizona!
I love the cacti (plural for cactus…you learned something today)
I love the smell of the orange blossoms…someday I want to live near an orange grove
I love being able to take my kids swimming in March (still too cold for me, but they love it)
I love the layout of Phoenix and surrounding cities – easily navigated and easy to understand.
I love the weather….yes…even when it’s hot. Sometimes I even like the moment I get into a hot car and it’s SO hot….but then I can’t wait for the AC to kick in.
I love driving “to the snow” and then coming back home when I get too cold

In case anyone was wondering…Arizona is an amazing place to live and and even better place to get married. I should know – we were married here in Mesa in June of 1998. On June 19, 2011 – we’ll have been married for 13 years….it feels like yesterday… 🙂

I have a real tender spot in my heart for John. He’s my “favorite” cousin (I say that about all my cousins…but John is amazing!). He moved out here to the Phoenix Valley several years ago and it’s been so nice to have him close. Having him over for Thanksgiving, birthdays and whatnot. He’s always been one of those great guys that for some reason just hasn’t settled down.

Until now…

He and Kaylyn met through mutual friends at a party (originally he thought about setting her up with a buddy…but then decided against it once he got to know her). They were friends for awhile and then one thing led to another. They’ll be getting married on March 12th in Tucson.

I love my cousin! I am so happy that he has Kaylyn in his life – I can just see how happy she makes him.

By the way, he does financial accounting type stuff…and he’s looking for a job – I’m just putting that out there!

Congratulations!! I love you guys!! 🙂

The bridal show in Northern Arizona was amazing! Thank you to The Radison in Flagstaff – They are a terrific hotel and willingly sponsor this wedding show every year. It’s so nice to work with them!
There were SO many fabulous vendors!! I have a new friend – Victoria with A Piece of Cake Wedding Design. She is awesome! I can’t wait to take her out to lunch.

Our booth at the show included information about my photography as well as the photo booth.
I know it’s not all that fancy schmancy of a booth…I could have done my photos a whole lot bigger with amazing frames and posters. I could have gotten a Huge screen and displayed all my recent work.
But lets be honest. I hadn’t really planned on being there to promote my photography….As you can see…we only have the A2Z PhotoBooth banner in the back.
I was able to pass out a few of my fliers. I met a lot of wonderful people. Hopefully a few of the brides will want to give me a call.

Either way – it was so much fun to spend the day with Chris….I love working with my husband! 🙂

So the winners from our Bridal Show Drawing are:
Victoria McKinley – Winner of Complimentary Engagement Session including CD of images (valued at $600)
Aaron Matty – Winner of $20 gift card to Wild Flower Bread Co

There are 2 more winners….you’ll need to check out A2Z PhotoBooth Blog to see if you are a winner!!

I thought about blogging yesterday and then totally spaced it as I was reading…I’m working on two books right now (actually I’m reading a few more than that…but only two that I’m really trying to get through). I’m reading Extras by Scott Westerfeld and Portal by Imogen Rose.
Extras is the 4th book in a trilogy (I had a problem wrapping my head around that too). It is thick with Save the World/Green everything/Humans are ruining the earth…but the plot line is nice and I like the characters.
Portal is different – swapped reality, figuring out where you’re really from…it’s been a fun book. One of those “What if I could go back” kinda things.

Today I’ll be meeting the a bride, doing an engagement shoot for my cousin, and going out to dinner with a good friend. It’s a busy busy day!! Add in piano lessons for the girls, Chris going to class today and you basically have a normal crazy day for me. (Plus I need to get started on my homework for my photoshop class)

Saturday we went to the Northern Arizona Bridal Show. It was an amazing bridal show!! I met so many wonderful people!! We have two winners that we need to announce…but I’ll probably be blogging that tonight. So maybe two blogs on one day will make up for missing yesterday….what do you think??
