This cookbook was originally my mothers. She gave it to me several years ago. I remember using this book over and over again when I was little. I LOVE making the Russian Tea Cake cookies (the powder sugar butter cookies).
While making cookies today, I decided to take a picture of this fabulously old and wonderful book. The pages are coming out, it has spots where various ingredients spilled on it….I think there is even a few pages that are permanently stuck together. Even with all the issues…I would rather use the recipes in this book than any other. I’m sure it’s been reprinted. I can probably get a newer version…but then it wouldn’t be the same.
Every time I take out this cookbook – It takes me back to my mom’s kitchen and the joy of being little and ‘getting’ to cook.
